50-year-old Indian dies in road accident in Maldives
SINAMALE BRIDGE, MLADIVES (TIP): A 50-year-old Indian national was killed in a road accident in the Maldives, officials said on Thursday, May 14. The incident took place on Wednesday, May 13 night when the motorcycle the man was riding skidded near the Sinamale Bridge traffic lights, the Maldives Police Service said.
The man, who sustained critical injuries, died after being run over by a pickup in the vicinity, the police said.
Following the incident, police were deployed to the scene. The case is under investigation by the police.
